The Program begins with ‘Medical School from the Street,’ a crash course in sports science distilled down into the most salient, applicable information; and ends with ‘Life in the Jungle,’ our Training, Nutrition, and Recovery (TNR) program that leans on insights from over 100 world champion athletes as it delivers practical strategies for any obstacle on the way to the top.

Exercise Pathophysiology, Dr. Kay’s creation, sits at the center of The Program in the second section, ‘Rising from the Ashes’—a deep study of the body as it heal from hard training, and how to effectively manage all the inflammation therein.

Dr. Brent Kay

Dr. Brent W. Kay, M.D., is a distinguished physician and sports scientist with over 30 years of experience, double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine. 

His impressive career includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, CEO of the OUCH Sports Medical Center, and directing his professional team to numerous Olympic and World Championship medals.

Dr. Brent W. Kay, M.D., boasts an impressive array of achievements in both
the medical and athletic fields:

  • Medical Expertise: Double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine, as well as former certified Program Director by the American College of Sports Medicine and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
  • Direct Experience: Coached, advised, provided care, trained with and competed against over 100 World Champion athletes.
  • Athletic Excellence: A decorated athlete with multiple World Championship medals, including a Silver Medal at the 2022 UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships as well as 2010 USA Cycling Elite Track National Championship Gold Medal.
  • Team Success: Directed OUCH Pro Cycling to 7 Olympic medals, 9 World Championship titles, and 2 World Records.
